Monsoon is the most joyous time in the Thar desert. As the parched and baked earth quenches its thirst, it makes way for the heavenly petrichor. The peacocks dance and the langa musicians sing songs welcoming the ‘meh’ or desert rain. Sweets like ‘ghewar’ are offered to guests with ‘kesar’ masala chai as the clouds join the sun in a dance.
